For my final college collection, I undertook quite a lot of research, both secondary and primary. I had two research topics, which did both interlinks in some surprising ways. Once I started designing, I kept seeing the same shapes recurring again and again, in both areas.
My topics were fossils and minerals, and ways that fabrics have been manipulated and decorated over the centuries (and continue to be today).
